Our Pre-Algebra Enrichment Program is designed for Grades 6–8—and advanced Grade 5 students—who are ready for deeper, more rigorous math. This is a full direct-instruction course, taught by an experienced LCPS teacher, with no software and no passive learning. Students receive clear explanations, advanced practice, and the support they need to build a strong foundation for Algebra 1 and beyond. This is one of our highest-impact academic programs, ideal for motivated learners and students preparing for advanced math pathways.

Q: If the SOL test is in April/May, why does Pre-Algebra continue until June?

Because the SOL only measures minimum grade-level skills.
Our Pre-Algebra program is a full-year advanced math course, designed to build deep understanding and Algebra readiness.
We teach concepts far beyond the SOL, so the class continues through June to complete the full curriculum.

It is for any motivated student in Grades 5–8 who is ready for deeper math, with the goal of preparing for Algebra 1.
